How Hydrovac Works
Hydrovac is a unique technology initially created in Canada and has expanded around the Globe. Hydrovac process utilizes high pressure water to break up the ground (excavate) and a large vacuum to suck up the left over debris. This leaves behind a nice clean hole without disrupting the surround landscape nor piles of dirt. Muskoka Hydrovac equipment can also heat the water allowing for year round excavation.
Benefits of Hydrovac
Hydrovac is the only approved method to dig around sensitive underground structures, such as electrical, gas, water, sewer, telephone and fibre systems. In Ontario it is unlawful to use an excavator or other earth mover within 1metre of any underground utility, the only approved methods is hand digging or Hydrovac. Ontario Hydro only approves Hydrovac for digging within 5 metres of a hydro pole. Within a day a Hydrovac can remove more material then two men hand digging for four days.
Hydrovac is a great way to keep your project on time with minimal interruption to the work site or surrounding landscape.
